Videos for In-Class Use

Access to Library-Owned Videos Online

Some of the Library's DVD collection is available online and can be accessed in Moodle. Request online video access for your course by completing our Library Video Access form.

If a video you'd like to share with your class hasn't been digitized yet, reach out to the Library. We'll work within copyright guidelines to make the video available online.

Reserve DVDs to Show In Class

Ensure the DVDs you want to show in class are available - book them ahead of time!

  • For faculty and staff use only
  • Items will be available for pickup on the requested day
  • Please submit requests at least a week in advance

Streaming Videos through the National Film Board (NFB) Campus

NFB Campus is the National Film Board's video streaming service for the classroom and the primary source for Canadian film and media content across a wide range of subject areas.

Faculty, register for an NFB Campus for Educators account and gain access to a wide range of content and a variety of features including: 

  • Thousands of films and other media
  • A curated library of Learning Bundles
  • Tools to create and share your own chapters and playlists
  • Educational summaries that draw links to Pan-Canadian curricula
  • In-depth Educator’s guides
  • Search filters by subject area and age level
  • Access via the web with no hardware or server space requirements
  • Easy integration into the classroom

 

Note: When off-campus, students will be required to login to NFB with their college username and password.
