Software & Technology

For accessibility software and technology help, contact the Learning Curve

Read & Write

Read & Write is an example of both a text-to-speech and a speech-to-text tool. Available for free for students, faculty, and staff, this software will read text out loud to the user and allows the user to speak into a microphone and create a document in a word processing program or email.

Windows Text Magnifier & Reader

Windows Text Magnifier/Reader helps users with low vision by magnifying a computer's screen display. The Narrator feature narrates users’ actions such as file menu selections and keyboard inputs, in addition to reading webpages and documents. Available on all college workstations. For information on how to use this application, view the How to use Magnifier reading instructions from Microsoft Support.
