Embedding Library Guides in Moodle
Embed Library supports directly into your Moodle courses! Add a our Library Guides to your courses so students can access supports at the point- and time-of-need, without leaving the Moodle environment. By providing Library resources within Moodle, students are seamlessly guided to relevant content when they need it most.
What guides can I embed?
You can embed any guide that is relevant to your students' coursework! Some examples are:
- Assignment-specific guides created in consultation with faculty
How do I embed Library Guides content in Moodle?
- With editing turned on in your Moodle course, click Add an activity or resource
- Select External tool
- Name the activity - you can choose to name it the same as the guide you want to use, or something else entirely
- From the Automatic, based on tool URL dropdown menu, select Library Guides
- Click the Save and display button
- From the Content Type dropdown menu, choose what you'd like to embed in your course. You can embed an entire guide, a specific page from a guide, a specific content box (content on Library Guides pages are contained in content boxes), or databases.
- Click Embed Content
Success! You've added Library Guides content to your Moodle course!
When the resource link is opened, the content will display within the Moodle environment.
