Distance Collection Limits

A maximum of 5 total items may be borrowed from the Distance Collection at a time. For example, 3 DVDs and 2 books from the Distance Collection can be borrowed at the same time. Item limits for all other collections are as indicated above.

These items are set aside by instructors for students in specific courses or programs.

Holds

If you need an item that's currently out to another borrower, you can request a reserve (or hold) on that item. Your name will be added to the item's waiting list and you'll be notified by email when the item is available for you to borrow.

Overdue Items

There are no fines for overdue materials. You'll receive automatic reminders for any items that are overdue and will have the option to return or renew.

Lost or Damaged Items 

If library materials are not returned or are returned in damaged condition, the following item charges will apply.

Borrowing Suspensions

A suspension of your library borrowing privileges will occur if any of these situations apply:

  • item(s) overdue 1 month or more
  • item(s) returned in damaged condition
  • lost item(s)

A bill will be issued in these scenarios and, in addition to a suspension of borrowing privileges, course registration may be restricted and your transcript/certificate/diploma may be withheld.
