Citing Help

Common Scenarios in Citing Nursing & Allied Health Sources in APA

During your studies at Assiniboine, you'll likely use the databases Global Road Warrior and UpToDate, among others, for a number of your assignments. When adding the URL for these two databases to your reference, include the URL for the database's login page. Do not include the URL for the specific article. This is because these sites require a login to access. For Global Road Warrior and UpToDate, always use the URLs provided in the examples below.

Be sure to check with your instructor for any specific citation requirements.

Sources with the Same Author and Date

If you cite multiple pages by the same author in the Global Road Warrior database, you will need to add unique letters to the publication date in your reference. Sort these references alphabetically by author first, then alphabetically by webpage title. These references will dictate how the in-text citations are written.
