Which Citation Managers Does the Library Support?

The library offers support for:

Zotero
A tool that simplifies the process of creating and editing citations. Create entire reference lists and generate in-text citations. Download the Zotero plug-in for MS word to insert references and in-text citations directly into your assignments. Note: APA is the citation style used at Assiniboine Community College.

Microsoft Word References (limited support)

Zotero

Available to all Assiniboine students and staff, Zotero allows you to quickly generate, edit, and publish an APA Reference list. It will take care of:

punctuation
alphabetization
and formatting

This saves you time to do other work!

Zotero also helps you keep notes about your references.

Zotero Desktop Application
The Zotero desktop application must be installed in order to use all features including the Connector and Word plug-in.
Zotero Web Browser Extension
Allows you to save to Zotero directly from your web browser.
Zotero plug-in for MS Word
Insert your Zotero reference lists and in-text citations directly into your assignment in Word.
The Zotero desktop application must be installed and open in order to use the MS Word plugin.
Add references by identifier
Use ISBNs, DOIs, PubMed IDs, and more to quickly add references to your Zotero list.
Download available full-text PDF sources
By using the web browser extension, Zotero will import the full-text PDF of a source if it's available. This means you can read articles directly in Zotero.
Add notes to your sources
Make notes on your sources directly in Zotero's PDF viewer. These notes can then be added to your assignment using the plug-in for MS Word, complete with proper citations.
