INDG-0010 Indigenous Language in Manitoba Assignment

Enter your search terms to find items available in the Library.

Suggested Search Terms

Your assignment asks you to find children's books that support Indigenous culture and language. To find related books, we suggest searching the following:

  • indigenous languages
  • indigenous culture
  • indigenous - by entering just this term, results will include all indigenous-related material in the Library

The search is not case-sensitive, so you don't have to include capital letters in your search terms, as demonstrated above.

Filtering Search Results

You can filter your results to only show items in the Children's section of the library. After the initial list of results display:

  1. choose the Children's option from the Location section of the filters sidebar
  2. click the refresh button beside the Location heading.

Finding & Borrowing Books

Finding Books

It helps to have the call number (e.g. E FLO) and the book's title with you when looking for books on the shelf. That information also helps Library staff find the book if you can't.

Borrowing Books

To borrow books from the Library, you must present your student ID card. If you don't have your card, you can bring up a digital version on your device by going to MyACC > My Photo.

Some books may be unavailable when you come to borrow them. Please have a list of books you're interested in, just in case the first book you want is out to someone else.

Interlibrary Loan

We can bring books in from other libraries for you! Simply fill out our online request form to request materials.

Please allow 3 to 5 business days for books to arrive.
