Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) Preparation

Test Content Breakdown

  • 40 multiple choice questions
  • Cannot use a calculator.  We provide scrap paper.
  • Tests your ability to do calculations (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and your understanding of basic mathematical concepts, like order of operations, negative numbers, exponents, percentages, square roots.  The four largest sections of the test are:
    • Calculations with whole numbers
    • Calculations with fractions
    • Calculations with decimals
    • Basic algebra (solving for “x”)
  • Not timed: Suggested completion time approximately 45 minutes
